Bergamo, October 23, 2017 – The newly-formed “Energy Alliance Italia” announced today an agreement to install 20,000 sonnenBatteries in Italy over the next 24 months. The alliance consists of the largest and most innovative installers across Italy, including Supersolar, Smile Energy, CDNE, Rex Energy and Sky NRG.
A new city is being built in the US state of Arizona, where 3,000 homes will produce, store, and share their own power. In doing so, the German company has undertaken what is currently the biggest residential power storage project in the USA.
Wildpoldsried, 13 October 2017 – sonnen is installing its sonnenBatterie energy storage solution in 3,000 new homes in the US state of Arizona. This is part of the new concept by home builder and urban planner Mandalay Homes, which is building a new community in Prescott Valley in the US state of Arizona.
With Jean-Baptiste Cornefert, sonnen gains a manager with international experience and expertise in the decentralised energy business. Jean-Baptiste has been with the German utility E.ON before, where he was leading the Virtual Power Plant & Renewable Marketing business unit.
Wildpoldsried, 1. August 2017 – Jean-Baptiste Cornefert will take over as managing director of sonnen eServices, starting September 18, 2017. His responsibilities at sonnen will include the continued expansion of the sonnenCommunity and the development of innovative electricity services that connect clean decentralised energy.

Apartment owners and renters can now enjoy free electricity for 10 years and gain independence from their energy provider, eliminating the uncertainty of future energy cost increases.
